This recipe is no fuss, and can be made very quickly!
- 1 tablespoon ghee or coconut oil
- 1 pound organic chicken livers, trimmed and patted dry
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 teaspoons raw honey
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
- sea salt and fresh ground black pepper to season
1). Melt ghee in a medium size skillet over low heat. Add chicken livers, balsamic vinegar and honey. Stir, making sure livers are evenly coated. Add in diced onion and minced garlic. Stir again. Cover skillet with lid and increase heat to medium low heat. Allow to cook for 3- 5 minutes. Remove lid. Turn off heat. Cut into livers. If they are still too pink for you, cook a few more minutes over low heat.
2). Sprinkle with cayene pepper, salt and fresh ground black pepper.
